Jon is an accomplished, award winning filmmaker who has produced, written or directed a variety of traditional and new media projects over the last two decades.
Beginning as a documentary cameraman, Jon is a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, and pursued a career in narrative features, joining the Directors Guild of America.
Notable projects include shooting “Stage to Screen” for the Museum of the City of New York, featuring legendary actors such as Lillian Gish and Katherine Hepburn, producing the US portion of “September 11”, starring Ernest Borgnine, directed by Sean Penn (winner: Special Recognition of Films that Reflect the Freedom of Expression in 2003 from the National Board of Review).
Recent credits include the indie documentary “Sharing The Rough,” and feature films, “The Last Face,” “The Key,” “The Perfect Man,” and “Christina.” Past feature film credits included "Dante's Peak" w/Pierce Brosnan, "Fire Down Below" and "The Glimmer Man" w/Steven Seagal, and "The Pledge" w/Jack Nicholson, as well as music videos for such artists as The Rolling Stones and Peter Gabriel.
Independent or Studio, film or digital, local or distant location, with over a hundred feature film, episodic and commercial credits to date, Jon has a unique, hands-on perspective and practical knowledge of the ever-evolving process of filmmaking.
